Blog 3

In the Walker article, i really enjoyed it and learned a lot. He liked to explain how artists create what they do and how they go about it. I completely understood when he said it takes a lot of ideas before an artist makes a final decision about his or her art. Also how artist change their minds many times before they finish. It was pretty cool to learn that through one idea 200 works of art where made.
For the negatives about this article, i would have to say that i started to get confused about the meanings between subject matter, themes and the big ideas. To me they all started to kind of blend in meaning but that did not stray me away from the article. overall i thoroughly enjoyed this article. I feel like i understood from a artist mind and perspective which helped me keep reading the article.

For the Barrett article, this was probably my least favorite of the two. I liked how barrett learned to understand the meaning of random pictures to a deeper meaning. When Barrett wrote about the class and Destiny's child, it was interesting all the different meanings they came up with! I would have never thought of all of those!
Like i said before this was not my favorite article but i did like the destiny child part because of my childhood ! Some of the answers the students gave were kind of ridiculous to me, they seemed off topic, as if they went so far into the meaning that it changed the meaning of the whole picture. Also, I was curious if the artist plans these meanings before? like what if they just make art for no reason and all of these people try to decipher it incorrectly? that is what makes art confusing for me.
