This article is about a speech that
Wallace gave during graduation at Kenyon College in 2005. I really enjoyed this
article and the stories Wallace talked about. Wallace talked about religion and
how someone religious and an atheist interacted which I thought was a very
great story to tell. I also enjoyed reading about freedom and how we have the
freedom to learn and think on our own which is an amazing feature. Wallace
really talks about how getting a job and education and moving on with life is a
gift of a lifetime.
Overall, I liked this article it was
very interesting. I felt as if I could hear him talking and speaking the
speech. I did not think that incorporating religion into a graduation speech
was necessary because we all have different views but I think Wallace did it in
a tasteful way without being too over powering with religion. I think he could
have left out the part about there is no such thing as atheist. That’s controversial.
