Wexner
I went to Wexner with devin from class. Going to Wexner was a interesting experience. First we went to the Clock by christian marclay which was a video that was had different movie clips with time. Next we moved on to the glass blowing art. I was not very interested in this part of the Wexner. I hate to be a debbie downer on art, but most of the art in the wexner i feel like i could make easily. I did not understand most of the points for these pieces of art. We did go into Josiah Mcelheny's Toward A Light Club display, which was probably my favorite part of the whole museum. It was insane how someone can make art with mirrors and a projector. It was extremely mystifying looking at the art at different angles. Lastly the Themore American Photographers display was the last thing we got to look at. This display made no sense to me at all. I could not relate the photographs to one another. They just all seemed to be extremely old photos in the middle and on the walls had pictures of mexicans. Looking at the art in this exhibit made me kind of sad, all the pictures had people looking miserable and poor. Overall, not my favorite pieces of art.. but i did get a cool poster!
