The
article “Cathedral” by carver was really empowering. He wrote about how he met
a blind man. The author in the beginning is not excited about going to visit
this man, who happened to be his wife’s friend. This was the first time the
author met this blind man. It was very sad to learn that the man lost his wife.
When the man stays at the author’s house he helps change his life and view life
in a different way, which was very emotional for me.
This article was truly amazing and
reminds me of the song lyric from Wicked “People come into our lives, for a
reason, bringing something we must learn”. I believe this was an event that was
meant for the author to experience. Maybe it was to teach the author to have an
open mind and not judge people because of a disability or flaw. I really
enjoyed this article
